Illustration and surface pattern design by Emma Westcott:
Inspired by ancient architecture and sculpture, I began this project with a focus on the Acanthus flower and its decorative leaves.
The pattern was drawn in swirling stems of botanicals to create a classically beautiful print in rich colours.
The original hand painted motif grows in delicate flowers with the working placement intertwining into a flawless repeat.
The print design is made using Adobe photoshop including:
